Today, we’re proud to introduce an updated Baumen brand, as we grow with our roots in Canada’s manufacturing industry. By nature, we’re a people-centric business. We decided it was time to bring a new logo, website and brand story to the market that truly reflects who Baumen Associates Limited (BAL) is at our core.

A little background… we’ve been providing Canadian manufacturing solutions for over 40 years now, representing a synergistic collection of product lines that support our key customer markets. While we’ve transitioned over the years, from a focus on mainly electronic components to adopting lines of thermal sensing, power control, air movement controls and more – our brand identity was left behind.

Our team is dedicated to spending their time meeting customers face-to-face, collaborating on application designs and building relationships. However, with so much of our time spent in the market – we hadn’t spent much time making sure that our brand reflected the growth and potential that we’re experiencing internally.

There’s a quote from Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, that reminds us of why we’ve made the investment to update our brand: “In today’s era of volatility, there is no other way but to re-invent. The only sustainable advantage you can have over others is agility, that’s it. Because nothing else is sustainable, everything else you create, somebody else will replicate.” With the launch of our re-brand, we will boost our reputation built on loyalty, reliability and integrity – by introducing a new brand design that encompasses these values:

Our ability to remain agile in the OEM industry has been critical to our endurance through the adaptation of new technology, environmental regulations, international supplier competition – along with other challenges. Agility is in Baumen’s DNA. The Baumen family name stems from the longer Dutch last name, Rolf von den Baumen, which translates to, “From the Trees.” Our business is not dissimilar to our tree heritage, in that BAL will continue to plant seeds and weather storms.

Over the next few months, you’ll see all the other visuals around Baumen aligning with this new brand design: on the website, in advertising, our social channels and any electronic communications you receive from us.

This story is told in our new brand identity through the three elements coming together and forming our new logo.
